My Journey and Experience...

About me

I was born in Auroville, South India, to American (US) parents and grew up in Spain, a 'third culture kid' from the start. Over the years, I've lived in Switzerland, the US, Canada, and England, and for the past eight years, I’ve called Auroville home again, where I live with my teenage son and our cat.

My educational journey began at Skidmore College in New York, where I studied fine arts and music. I then spent two years teaching and exploring spirituality in India—during that time I also experienced some health challenges that allopathic medicine couldn't address. I found healing through natural and alternative approaches, which inspired me to return to the US to pursue a career in natural health. I earned a degree in biology from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, in 1999, followed by a degree in naturopathic medicine from The Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine in Toronto, Canada, in 2023.

Additional Skills and Teaching Experience

In addition to my naturopathic studies, I completed advanced training in Western herbal medicine, including growing, wildcrafting, and medicine production. I also found a strong affinity for homeopathy, studying under world-renowned practitioner Louis Klein. In 2003, I became a certified Bowen therapist, a hands-on technique for pain relief. Over the years, I've expanded my knowledge with courses in energy healing, shamanic practices, flower essences, applied kinesiology, integral yoga, pranayama, Jungian psychology, and trauma-informed care.

After qualifying as a Naturopathic Doctor, I practiced for nearly 12 years in England. During this time, I also rediscovered my passion for teaching, serving as a senior lecturer and co-course leader for the Naturopathy degree at the University of Westminster. I also enjoyed running the student practice clinic, mentoring future naturopaths in their clinical work.

Returning to Auroville

When I returned to Auroville in 2016, I paused my clinical practice to focus on raising my son. During this time, I taught math, science, and history at his school and shifted my focus to teaching preventive healthcare. In 2019, I co-founded Chrysalis, a youth-centered program designed to support the physical, emotional, and psychological well-being of young people in and around Auroville.

Living in a close-knit community has deepened my understanding of the vital connection between individual and collective health. I’ve had the privilege of facilitating women’s circles, shamanic journeying workshops, ceremonies, and meditative practices, with a focus on empowerment, self-discovery, and fostering collective well-being.

In 2024, I returned to individual client work, and my approach has evolved into a blend of subtle energy healing, shamanic practice, and naturopathic tools—nutrition, herbal medicine, bodywork, and homeopathy—helping people restore harmony in body, mind, and spirit.

Shamanic Experience & Spiritual Context

For as long as I can remember, I've been acutely aware of the unseen world—sensing and seeing energies and spirits. My spiritual path began at 16 with Tibetan Buddhist meditation and the study of Integral Yoga, as taught by Mother and Sri Aurobindo. In my early 20s, exploring and integrating shamanic practices provided me with practical tools to navigate these subtle realms. Over the past 25 years, I’ve had the privilege of learning from shamanic practitioners and indigenous shamans from diverse cultural backgrounds, including those from Canada, Peru, England, China, India, and Nepal.

My shamanic practice is not rooted in a specific cultural lineage; it is shaped by my personal experiences and guided by a deep respect for Nature, the Divine in all life, and the practice of reciprocity.

How I work

Over the years, I’ve found that people with stubborn health concerns—those that don’t resolve through conventional or natural medicine—often regain their well-being when long-standing emotional, energetic, or ancestral imbalances are addressed. My approach begins with energetic work, creating space for the supportive properties of simple natural medicines to take effect.

A shamanic healing session is often just the beginning of the process. Integration can take time, but with patience and care, it can become a deeply rewarding and enjoyable journey if embraced and supported.

I see each person as a whole, wise being whose true self simply needs to be remembered and embraced.

My practice is completely inclusive, and all are welcome.
